There’s a few TV-commercials that I can remember really well from the mid 00:s. One are the Pringles commecial. Once you pop you can’t stop, but how to get the pop sound? We gonna try to use vacuum and science to make a good pop. The air in the can will expand and pop both the foil and lid away. But what will happend without foil? It turned out to be even better.
We gonna put in some shaving cream to see what will happen. Check out the video to see. I’ll also explain it below.
In the cream there’s alot of air trapped inside. Like small bubbles. When the pressure surrounding decreases, the air trapped inside will expand. This causes the foam to grow. During this time, some air will escape from the foam so when letting air in and the air go back to it’s normal size it will be smaller since it did lose air.
It was over expectation that it would grow so fast and much. A great and fun experiment.

Frixion clicker are a ball pen that have an inc or gel that get’s invisible when heated and if cold down again it can be visible again. These pens can most probably be found in office stores or supermarkets. It’s called frixion because it have a rubber end that when rubbing it to the paper get heated by friction and make the gel/inc to visually disappear
Can an alarm clock sound in vacuum? Since sound are vibrations in the air, it should not. So check out this video and you might learn if you could shout for help in space. Or just enjoy a fun experiment.
Experimenting with sweets in the vacuum chamber. When removing air in the chamber the pressure decreases and the air trapped in the sweets expands so it’ll grow. This are my first test with the vacuum chamber. I got a lot of other ideas to test so stay tuned. Also, yes I said soft sweets but the meringue are hard, just wanted to be sure to be the first to comment on that 😀
Nitinol is an alloy (nickel titanium) also called memory wire that can be programmed to a shape and go back to it. In this video which is a follow up on a earlier video I expand the test for the nitinol paperclip, spring and spoon. I also do 2 nitinol races between the nitinol spring and paperclip.

What’s happening to the spoon? Is it the liquid, is it the spoon or something else?
It’s actually the spoon that are made of Gallium that have a melting degree at only about 30 Degrees Celsius or 86 degrees Fahrenheit.
Gallium are also easy to mold and fun to play around with. But it leaves a gray stain that will need some dish soap and hot water to remove.
Adding Glycerol/Glycerin in the soapbubbles makes them stronger. Glycerol (also called glycerin) can be bout in pharmacy shops. You also need a soft glove to be able to touch the bubbles and bounce the bubbles in your hand. Might need to be cleaned/wiped between the times.
For the bubble in a bubble experiment the mixture are just poured on a plate and blow with a straw and you can see how many bubbles you manage to do. Plates shape might affect the result (most probably why I just manage to make one bubble in the bubble) 🙂
